One of the most important aspects to a community's survival is its ability to provide residents with the ability to support themselves and their families. The most effective way to do that is by being supportive of local businesses.

Local business owners provide employment, places for consumers to shop, and commerce for other businesses. Without local businesses families would be forced to find employment and shop elsewhere draining the community of its most important components. A community with a strong local business district can provide jobs, education, healthcare and many other things that make a successful community.
